After an unplanned and so far the longest break(can’t all it a vacation) in my life, I am from today, all set to go to office and resume my duties. On the onset, I would want want to begin my day and office work by heartily thanking all of you. Your wishes and concern have played an important role in my recovery. Thousands of my friends, well wishers, saints, priests, media persons, and all those who did not get in touch with me directly but wished well for me: I am grateful to all of you and a very big Thank You to all of you.

A lot of people asked me of what actually happened. June 27 was a normal day. I have always been a fitness freak. So after completing my usual round of yoga and pranayam , I had got on the treadmill for my 15 minute workout. Suddenly, I felt some pain. I overlooked it and continued. By the time I finished my work out, the pain had escalated and I was convinced that it was a stroke.

The pain shot up and I felt a sinking feeling. As death stood in front of me, I was convinced that the end had come. Death is the only certainity of life and I was not scared. If this was God’s will, we cannot fight.

However, God had other plans. I could reach the hospital in time and a SOS angiography followed by an angiolasty was conducted. Later I was told that I was detected with the deadly LAD complete blockage. The main artery that provides over 70% of blood was 100 % blocked. I was told that this disease which is known as Widow Maker, most of the times, does not give time to patients to reach hospital.

The Widow Maker is mostly fatal but by God’s grace, I have survived. I read about it in a Gujarati mag recently and have scanned in case anyone is interested.

Life is all about living each moment and living it meaningfully.
This is new life to me. I am glad to be back to work and amongst all of you.
