Perhaps it is mua culpa situation for Congress also. Admittedly there was inconsistency between the National and the state units on the issue.
Jinnah – “India – Partition, Independence”

Controversy over a sensitive subject:

Shri Shaktisinhji,

Your blog over this subject is an eye – opener for those, who have been informed that Mahatma Gandhi, Nehruji and Sardar Patel were equally responsible for creation of the world’s biggest tragedy just after the separation of East and West Germany or East and West Korea. It has been an open truth that Jinnah had used his leadership and his religion to make himself the Massiha of the Muslim Community. The great trio of the congress leadership were very much aware of this, and they had made their best efforts to stop Jinnah’s insistence over the separation.

However Mr. Singh has not highlighted this fact, instead he has Criticized Mahatma’s strong statement : “Jinnah cannot succeed during my existence towards his policy of communal separation and a separate country.” Jinnah’s ambition was to become India’s prime minister but the country that was determined to uphold the strong scenarist, would never accept religious fanatic to lead the land of multi – religion civilization. Hence in the mad hunger of power, Jinnah did not hesitate to inject poison into Hindu-Muslim unity. This aspect of the whole root cause has been carefully kept untouched by Mr. Singh.

The author, it seems has been impressed also by the Pakistan visit and appreciative statement in these days by L.K. Advani, the matter itself was an example of the illogical statesmanship of Advani. His visit was understood to be an act of short – sighted diplomacy and opportunism by some political analysts.

The banning of such book in Gujarat came into limelight only after the outcast of Mr. Singh a few days back. It is obvious considering the sequence of events, that Mr. Modi is concerned more about the image of the party than the ideology of Mahatma, Panditji and Sardar. Sir, you have very aptly mentioned in the last para of your article about banning the book in all BJP – ruled states if the nation is indebted to the Iron – man Sardar Patel. That would be the great homage to our leader and value of his ideology even after 62 years of our independence.

P.S. : It is in the news that Mr. Jaswant Singh is planning to visit Pakistan, obviously for the inauguration function of the book and more obviously with the consent of Pakistan Government to make the book more popular in Pakistan and its allies.

Sir,Whatever, you have written in your article is purely authentic.
I personally appreciate your concern about the sudo-intellectuality of BJP and its mother-father organizations. BJP is addict to do those things which could help them politically. They have nothing to do with the fundamental problems of the nation, but they are engaged in wasting their time in analyzing a person (Jinnah) who is not relevant to our nation’s interst, at least after sixty years of independence, I don’t think it is necessary to talk about what was happened five decades before..Any way.. Advani once said "Jinnah was secular and symbol of communal harmony".BJP promoted him as the Prime ministerial candidate. Jaswant Singh added"Jinnah was not responsible for the division", Sardar patel, Nehru and Gandhi had a responsibility to divide the nation, BJP expelled him from the office, and one of its ruled state (Gujarat) has banned the book, showing the reason that Jaswant Singh has made remarks against Sardar Patel and we can not tolerate any allegation against him. Does BJP tolerate remarks against Gandhi and Nehru? Now BJP should made clear that what is their party’s stand upon the issue of the father of nation and the first Prime Minister of the nation.

Within BJP there is always a confusion about history. Problem of disputes between its leaders are not new, Whether it was between Vajpayee and Advani, and now between Advani and Rajnath , Rajnath and Arun Jaitley, and so on...There is pressure from RSS to come back to real agenda, but also there is pressure upon party to come to the power. How all these things are possible without consistency in ideology and leadership, Without the honest effort to the general people.

Several years back, BJP leaders used to campaign the party as “the party with a difference”, they were talking about “ Chal, Charitra and Chintan”, and the “Internal democracy” within the party, Now what is happened of those things, where the internal democracy has moved.

In the year 2004,when the Lok Sabha Elections were on process, Campaigns were going on,The whole Election atmosphere was surrounded by India Shining and Feel Good Factors. BJP was over confident and it resulted in irony. At that time BJP was on extreme, and the downfall was started, it become more vast after the defeat in 2009 general election. People rejected the “Lauh Purush” as their leader.

After making a mute analysis of BJP for last four-five years,I have come to this conclusion that in this juncture of time there is a need of huge change in the party leadership, there must have disciplined and idealist leaders, who might in position to remove a national party from these circumstsnces.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Dear ALL

I am overwhelmed with the “online” response.
I am convinced, especially after all your responses that the
internet is a very good medium to connect. I am thankful to each and
everyone of you for the bricks and the bouquets you have offered.

Im (still) trying to figure out how to go about acknowledging each of your
responses individually and publicly but till I figure out that please accept
a big THANK YOU from me.

Bye for now.
