- Congress Legislature Party has helped Gujarat save Rs 27.5 lakh to beat global recession.
- Congress MLA’s of Gujarat responded to the appeal of Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and helped Gujarat treasury save Rs 27, 55,064 during last year alone.
- Elected representatives should not go for extravaganza. Congress party has really proved it in action.
Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi had appealed to Congress MP’s and MLA’s to have a voluntary cut in their salaries to help the nation at the time of global recession. Consequently Congress MLA’s in Gujarat decided to go for voluntary cut in their salary.
This decision helped Gujarat treasury save Rs 27,55,064 during last year alone. Congress MLA’s have responded positively by taking action instead of just talking about it. Congress members stay away from extravaganza and executive and business class air travel, following the advice of their leader Smt Sonia Gandhi.
